Apocalypse Mercenaries (1987)
$ 14.99
Somewhere deep in the war-torn jungle, a ragged crew of mercs is hired for a mission that smells like a setup from the jump. Their target? A hidden Nazi compound crawling with relics of the Third Reich, mad scientists, and cold-blooded killers who never got the memo that the war ended. Trapped behind enemy lines, outgunned and outnumbered, the team descends into a fever dream of bullets, blood, and backstabbing.
The jungle becomes a pressure cooker as the mission spirals out of control. Rebel soldiers, mutated experiments, and a sexy nurse with a hidden agenda all collide in a swirl of sleaze and shrapnel. Every step toward the objective means another body dropped and another piece of sanity lost. By the time they reach the final bunker, the real question is who’s going to make it out—and who’s going to blow sky high.
Leandro Lucchetti directs this sweaty, bullet-riddled meat grinder with no mercy and no brakes. Vassili Karis sneers and shoots his way through a landmine of double crosses while Bruno Bilotta brings the muscle and Maurice Poli delivers righteous fire as a gun-toting priest. With a scorcher of a score by Stelvio Cipriani and gritty camera work by Luigi Ciccarese (as Kurt J. Serak), this is peak Italian jungle trash—part Inglorious Bastards , part Zombie Holocaust, and all glorious mayhem.
