Before Heat, there was this. A driven LAPD detective with a relentless grip on his case finds himself locked in pursuit of a meticulous professional thief planning one final high-stakes job. Their trajectories collide across a sun-bleached, neon-lit Los Angeles as Mann explores the thin line between obsession and purpose, law and outlaw.

While it never aired as a series, this one-off project remains a fascinating artifact of Mann’s evolving vision. His signature style is already in place, from sharp dialogue to brooding synths to existential cool.
