In London, an man suffering from amnesia is abducted and beaten by a stranger who calls him a "dirty son of a double-crosser." When a sniper's bullet suddenly kills his attacker, the amnesiac flees the country with airline tickets provided by a wife he never knew he had.
Without knowing why, he is being followed by strangers, one of whom is threatening his execution unless he returns a million dollars in uncut heroin. The plot thickens as parts of the puzzle must help the amnesiac fill in his mysterious past in time to save his life.
Duccio Tessari directs this outstanding example of the giallo genre that puts more focus on the characters and an intriguing plot than the usual elements. A terrific climax, superb acting by Luc Merenda (The Violent Professionals), lush soundtrack, and stunning locations make this a must see for genre fans.
