Channeler, The (1990)

 group of college students head into a remote mountain forest, believing their weekend mission is simply to restore an abandoned mining camp. Unbeknownst to most of them, one student has a hidden agenda involving the area's dark folklore, convinced supernatural forces are responsible for past disappearances. Soon their good intentions lead them into a terrifying trap from which they might never escape.

Misfortune and mysterious occurrences plague the group long before they reach the old mining camp. After meeting a strange hermit who warns them of the region’s demonic inhabitants, the students discover they’re not alone. Bloodthirsty, otherworldly creatures have awakened, eager to devour anyone who dares trespass. Only the hermit’s hidden knowledge and a student's newfound psychic powers offer any hope of survival, but facing these ancient evils will require confronting horrors beyond imagination.
